Slender

If you wait till dawn
The world will move inside you
Planets slide around you
the night will slip away

It’s crazy but the moon is tender
Crazy when the moon is full
It’s hard and our chances are slender
Hard to live through it all

If the sky clears you will see me
My arms stretched out in a cross
Counting gains and what I’ve lost
Like sand life slips away
